Evening Talk: AI for Public Health
Can AI help predict the next outbreak or stop the spread of disease? Discover how researchers from Fraunhofer, RKI & Charité are using AI to tackle real-world public health challenges, from COVID-19 early warnings to Ebola contact tracing.
Evening Talk: AI for Public Health brings together experts from academia, healthcare, and data science from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM to discuss practical applications of AI in the field of public health.
The programme focuses on AI in healthcare, disease surveillance, outbreak early warning systems, and health-related data analytics. Through real-world case studies, participants will learn how AI can support outbreak prediction, infection monitoring, and public health decision-making.
Speakers include specialists from the Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut, the Robert Koch Institute, and the Charité Center for Global Health. Topics range from an AI-powered COVID-19 early warning system for Germany to predictive modelling of disease-carrying mosquito populations in Europe and the use of local large language models to process Ebola case and contact-tracing data.
The event is designed for researchers, data scientists, healthcare professionals, students, AI practitioners, and public sector stakeholders interested in the future of AI-driven public health. In addition to lightning talks, attendees will have opportunities for networking and exchange.
