Claude Impact Lab x Foresight Institute — AI Research Loops for Open Science Problems
Full-day AI-for-science build lab on November 7, 2026 focused on creating open research loops for real scientific problems.
The Claude Impact Lab x Foresight Institute brings scientists and AI engineers together for a full day of hands-on building. Teams form around concrete open research problems, including challenges identified during the preceding Claude Conversation in Berlin.
Each team develops a research loop: an AI agent designed to read scientific literature, write and run code, verify its own results, and iteratively work on a research question. After an introduction to research loops and Claude Science, participants spend six to eight hours building with support from experienced Claude Community mentors.
At the end of the day, teams demonstrate what their research loop achieved, where it encountered limitations, and what would be needed to develop it further. The goal is to create working, open-source research loops on GitHub that scientists and others can continue using after the event.
