Hacktoberfest Hack Day Berlin 2026

Hackathon for students focused on open-source AI and open-weight models.

Hacktoberfest Hack Day Berlin 2026 will take place on October 4, 2026 at Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium in Berlin. The one-day hackathon brings together high school and university students to build with open-source AI tools and open-weight models.

The day is structured as a collaborative build sprint. After a short introduction, participants work on their own projects with mentors available throughout the day for support. No prior AI experience is required, making the event open to both beginners and experienced developers.

At the end of the day, teams will present their projects live for judging, followed by an award ceremony. Prizes are available for the top teams, and lunch, drinks, and snacks are provided.
