The workshop “Efficient Information Retrieval – Part IV” will take place on July 29, 2026 at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam. The event is part of a workshop series by the AI Service Center Berlin-Brandenburg @ HPI and focuses on the practical use of agentic RAG systems.
The workshop explores how modern RAG systems can go beyond traditional question-and-answer applications. Participants will learn how these systems can be used as productive, local, and secure AI assistants for office work, including research, documentation, summarization, document updates, and workflow support.
The three-hour in-person workshop provides practical insights into agentic RAG systems that combine knowledge access with the ability to complete concrete tasks. The goal is to show participants how AI assistants can be used safely, efficiently, and practically in everyday work.
