Claude Conversation x Foresight Institute — Can AI help us solve science's hardest problems?
Discussion and workshop evening on November 4, 2026 exploring AI for science, research agents, and concrete scientific problems.
The Claude Conversation x Foresight Institute will take place on November 4, 2026 at CIC Berlin, bringing together researchers from different disciplines with AI engineers. The evening centers on one question: what would it take for AI to accelerate the science that matters most?
Rather than featuring lectures or product demos, most of the event will take place in small-group discussions. Participants will explore where AI is already useful in research, where current systems fail, and what is still missing in terms of data, tools, verification, skills, and trust. The groups will also identify concrete open research problems that may already be suitable for AI-supported research loops.
The event is aimed at researchers from fields including life sciences, medicine, chemistry and materials, physics, mathematics, nanotechnology, climate, and earth sciences, as well as AI engineers. The research problems selected during the evening will form the brief for a follow-up Claude Impact Lab, where scientists and engineers will work on open-source research loops.
