AI for Freedom – Vertrauenswürdige KI in der Justiz
How can artificial intelligence strengthen the rule of law, improve judicial efficiency, and safeguard fundamental rights, transparency, and democratic oversight at the same time?
AI for Freedom – Trustworthy AI in the Justice System explores the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in legal and judicial environments. The event brings together experts from the justice sector, politics, legal tech, and civil society to discuss how AI can support case management, accelerate legal processes, and improve access to justice while protecting fundamental democratic principles.
The discussion focuses on trustworthy AI, digital transformation of the justice system, fundamental rights protection, data privacy, transparency, fairness, legal tech, and AI regulation. Participants will examine what a human rights-based and innovation-friendly AI governance framework could look like and how technological innovation can be aligned with judicial independence.
Speakers include former Federal Minister of Justice Dr. Marco Buschmann, judge and legal tech expert Sina Dörr, Legal Tech Association Germany executive board member Alisha Andert LL.M., and additional experts from law, politics, and digital transformation. The event is part of the series “Berlin & AI: Towards a Berlin AI Strategy” and takes place during Berlin Freedom Week.
