In her lecture “Acoustic Intelligence || Künstl(er)i(s)che Intelligenzen,” Prof. Dr. Anna Schürmer from the Institute of Theatre Studies at Freie Universität Berlin addresses this thematic intersection.

The lecture is part of “Aporien der Anwendung. Künstliche Intelligenzen in Geisteswissenschaften und Künsten,” an interdisciplinary lecture series examining how AI is reshaping research, artistic production, and established cultural practices. The series brings together perspectives from theatre, music, film, dance, and media studies to critically examine technological developments beyond narratives of innovation or decline.
