The Distributed Data Stream Processing in Heterogeneous Environments Research Group at Technische Universität Berlin and the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data (BIFOLD) researches fundamental infrastructure for the continuous processing of distributed data streams. It develops methods for heterogeneous data streams, distributed cloud, fog and edge environments, Internet of Things data, and the placement, execution and recovery of stream-processing applications. Its results provide scalable and resilient foundations that enable analytics and AI systems to process data from distributed sources reliably and promptly.
