Hertie School

The Data Science Lab at the Hertie School develops application-oriented data science and artificial intelligence methods for societal and public-policy questions. The lab combines machine learning, natural language processing, causal inference, experimental survey methods and the analysis of digital behavioural traces. Its research supports data-informed decisions for individuals, government institutions and society, particularly in climate policy, public policy, political communication and the common good.
