Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin (BCCN Berlin)

Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin

The Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin (BCCN Berlin) is hosted by Berlin universities and Charité and uses mathematical and computational methods to investigate how the brain functions. It combines theoretical models, data analysis, simulations and experimental neuroscience methods across levels ranging from synapses and individual neurons to larger neural systems. Its research supports the scientific understanding of perception, behaviour and neural information processing and trains researchers in mathematical, computational and neuroscientific methods.
