The Artificial and Collective Intelligence / Biorobotics Lab at Freie Universität Berlin researches fundamental mechanisms of collective intelligence in biological and artificial systems. It combines machine learning, computer vision, behavioural analysis and biomimetic robotics to study group behaviour in honeybees and fish. The findings inform artificial systems that use the perceptual, cognitive and motor capabilities of individual units for cooperative group behaviour.
